Coach House

Newly refurbished cottage, sleeps 8 to 10 people, next to Stable in a beautiful location by Rydal Falls.  

The Coach House has four bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and dining room, a spacious living room and a small private patio.

Parking is available in the campsite car park next to the cottage and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Stable Cottage

In a beautiful location by Rydal Falls, Stable Cottage is a self-catering holiday cottage sleeping up to four guests.

All rooms are at ground-floor level and the cottage has a cosy living room with wood-burning stove, kitchen, one double and one twin bedroom, bathroom and a small private garden.

Parking is available in the campsite car park next to the cottage and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Our tranquil campsite is set in the woodlands surrounding Rydal Hall is ideal for individuals or families looking for a quiet stay in the outdoors. Situated in the conservation area, no camper-vans or caravans are allowed and no electric hook-ups, so it is perfect for those wanting a simple base from which to explore the Lake District.

The newly redeveloped shower and toilet block sources water from our private supply, whilst electricity from our hydro-electric plant augmented by solar power ensures excellent facilities and keeps our carbon footprint to a minimum.

Youth Centre

Situated next to Rydal Beck, the Youth Centre is a self-contained bunk house which can sleep up to 29 people, ideal for groups staying for retreats or events who prefer a simpler style of accommodation. The Youth Centre is self-contained for groups looking to cater for themselves, but catered packages are also available.

The common room has tables, chairs and a cosy wood-burning stove with a complimentary bag of logs. The fully-equipped stainless steel kitchen has a cooker, microwave, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. As well as en suite facilities to two of the dormitories there are showers and toilets on the ground floor. Pillows and pillowcases are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own towels, tea towels and sleeping bags or bed linen and duvets.

Eco Pods

We have three eco pods within our woodland campsite. Each pod is made from sustainable materials and is carpeted with a small covered porch, making it the ideal alternative for guests wanting to experience the outdoors without the hassle of erecting a tent. The pods have their own small parking area and space to set up a barbecue and share the shower and toilet block with the main campsite. In line with our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, like the campsite there is no electric hook-up but each pod does have a solar-powered light. Linen is not provided so just bring all your usual camping equipment minus the tent.

The Herdwick Huts

These 5 huts are beautifully equipped with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. Each one has a double bed, single bunk bed with hypoallergenic, memory foam mattresses and fresh colourful duvets and linen. The views from the stable door and windows are amazing and the wood burning stove will keep you toasty warm. The Shepherd Huts each have their own outside brazier and bench and we are happy to accept one well behaved dog.
